We had to make a minor correction to the itinerary. For those that are travelling to Chickauga Marina on Sunday, you cannot lock through Fort Loudon Lock until 10:00 AM EDT at the earliest as that is when the lock opens. We know that this is going to put those participants behind schedule, but at least we all will be able to eat breakfast together at Louisville Landing Marina!
The 14th Annual Tennessee River 600 is only days away from launching in Knoxville!! Man, oh man, how the time went by fast!!! We’ve got t-shirts and tank tops ready! We’ve coordinated with all the Lock Masters and made plans to trailer around Chickamauga Lock! We’ve counted all the participants and finalized the itinerary (and made it available for download so you can print it out and carry it with you on the trip). We feel like we’re forgetting something and if we are please bear with us and we’ll figure it out. But the way we see it is the only thing left to do is get in the water and ride!!
This year has been a surprising year as far as participants. We can’t remember when the last time we had so many people sign up right before the event! There will be (as of this writing) 76 participants gathering in Knoxville representing 12 states! Some are coming as far as Texas, Washington, and New York to take part in this! We anticipate (at least by our count) 45 personal watercraft on the trip and that’s going to make for some great fun at the locks and marinas we visit while we raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Thanks to all the participants for making this event so special and fun!
Now, we’ve checked our packing list so you make sure you check yours! Have safe travels to Knoxville and we’ll see you all in a couple of days!

Hey everyone! We just wanted to take a minute to clarify about the assistance we asked for concerning trailering around Chickamauga Lock. What we need is vehicles and trailers from those that have their own road crew. While we greatly appreciate those that have offered us the use of thier vehicles and trialers, we simply don’t have the manpower to take those vehicles on the trip with us so we can only use vehicles and trailers from those that have their own road crew. If you offerred your vehicle but don’t have a road crew going with it, your vehicle with have to travel on to Paris Landing as originally planned. We’re sorry for any confusion that this may have caused.
Can you believe that there’s only 4 more weeks until we take off in Knoxville?!?! It’s approaching fast!!!
We have found out that Chickamauga Lock is scheduled to be closed during our trip which means we’ll have to trailer the personal watercraft around it. This won’t be a problem (the old timers know this isn’t the first time we’ve had to do this) but we’re going to need some help. What we’re going to need is a few PWC trailers in order to take everyone’s craft out at Chickamauga Marina on Tuesday morning and then place them back in the water once we get past the lock. So if you’re planning on having us move your vehicle to Paris and would be interested in helping out with your trailer and/or vehicle, please contact us.
Some late registrations came in and now the group is filling out! Check to make sure your name is on the list and if it’s not let us know. We’re up to 64 registered participants now and there’s always the possibility of a few more signing up!
